  • 160 British pounds
  • Afan

Service Description

Course provides a great introduction to a range of the most common MTB trail issues and looks at simple and effective ways to fix them. Ideal as an introduction to MTB trail maintenance for those who are also on the ‘Trail Inspection’ course or as an update or skills refresher for those with some experience already. This one day course (9.30am till 4.30pm) provides hands on experience and certification in the repair of most common trail issues. Key sections covered on this course include: • How to understand a trail inspection sheet. • An overview of the common remedial actions. • Selecting the right tools for the job and methods of work. • Repairing built features. • Understanding the required documentation. • Lots of practical ‘hands on’ time out on the trails. We have been involved with the management and day to day maintenance of MTB & Cycle trails for well over 18 years now, working with both the private and public sectors as well as managing our own private Skills Areas. We also assisted to develop the program of Volunteer Trail Repair supervisor courses for the Forestry Commission in England and Wales. This unique experience give us a great pool of knowledge and current good practice to include in this courses. We are also accredited by Association of Trail Builders (ATB) as delivery partners and you will receive an attendance Certificate for the Course and a Workbook. We do discounts for Volunteer Groups, get in touch for more info. For more information please contact us.
