Campbell Coaching Terms and Conditions 2018

We run a relaxed but professional operation here at Campbell Coaching however to make sure you understand our and your responsibilities and commitments we strongly recommend you grab a coffee and take 5 to carefully read through the following terms and conditions before booking with Campbell Coaching. By placing a booking, you agree to the following terms and conditions. If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact us. In the following conditions ‘we’ are Campbell Coaching ‘you’ are the person or organization booking one of our products.

1.BOOKING – When you make a booking, you guarantee that you have the authority to accept, and do accept, on behalf of all of your party and or your orrganization our terms and conditions. A contract will exist as soon as we issue our course joining information. One person may accept the T&C’s on behalf of a group or organization. We will confirm your booking in writing or by email. The contract is governed by the laws of England and Wales.

2.DEPOSITS- We require a deposit of 50% per person on booking for all skills courses / training and guiding. Full payment must be made before the start of any course / training or guiding. 

3.PAYMENTS – We accept cash, cheques (must be cleared before any booking deadlines) and bank transfers (full details will be supplied) 

4.MINIMUM NUMBERS – The minimum number of participants on our open courses is 4. We will accept bookings for less than 4 participants however, if the minimum number of participants is not reached within 2 weeks of the course commencement, we reserve the right to cancel the course. We will not be liable for any extra costs incurred with respect to your attendance of your course. If minimum numbers are not reached, we will either a. refund the full any monies paid, or b. provide an alternative date 

5. COOLING OFF- You have 48hrs cooling off period after booking with Campbell Coaching within which you may request a full refund for any monies paid to us. NOTE: Any bookings made within 48hrs of the start date are exempt this cooling off period.

6. CANCELLATION BY YOU- We are flexible here at Campbell Coaching and we will endeavour to arrange a replacement dates for any course or guiding you arrange with us that you cannot attend, however if we cannot mutually agree a replacement date then the following conditions apply: 

  1. Up to 1 week before the start date: This will result in the loss of any deposits paid to us. 
  2. Within 48hrs of the start date: you will forfeit 100% of the total price. 

6. CANCELLATION BY US – We will always endeavour to avoid cancellation of our courses and training. In the event of any exceptional circumstances beyond our control, we may have to cancel or postpone your course / training. Any cancellation by us will result in a full refund to yourself, or transfer to another suitable date. We cannot be held liable for any other expenses you might incur as a result of us canceling your course / training.

Force majeure: This means a cause beyond our control. We will not refund, nor will we pay compensation, if we have to cancel or change your training / course because of war, riot, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances that may amount to force majeure.

7. INSURANCE – All participants are recommended to take out adequate insurance cover. Any such policy should cover activity participation, personal items, medical expenses, the cost of repatriation in the event of illness and cancellation by you.

8. LIMIT OF OUR LIABILITY – Our liability to you in any circumstances is limited to the total cost of your training / courses. We accept no responsibility for any damage or loss to your personal possessions. We are not liable for any failure to carry out the contract if the failure is a: due to the actions of a participant b: due to the actions of a third party unconnected with us c. due to circumstances out-with our control and unforeseeable d. due theft or damage to bicycles or injury to you which occurs as a result of cycling on or off-road. 

9. SUITABLE BIKES & EQUIPMENT– For all our courses / training we will send you full joining instructions however we make the following assumptions:

a. You have a suitable well-maintained bike for the trails and areas we have notified you we are using.

b. You have suitable riding equipment for the trails and areas we have notified you we are using.

10. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES – Mountain biking is fun and carries with it many benefits some of which are:

 a healthy lifestyle

     Access to the countryside and remote areas

      A connection with nature and the natural environment

          Personal challenge and development

              Social interaction with other likeminded people

It can also be a demanding activity that will always carry some inherent 'risks' Campbell Coaching will endeavor to control these risks as far as is reasonably possible however we cannot take them away and we operate a policy of

'challenge by choice' 

We will inform you of challenges you may wish to take and ask you to make choice of accepting the challenge gaining the benefits but also accepting the risks that are still inherent with it. If you have any questions about this policy, please ask us at any time. 

We do also ask that you be responsible for your own safety and the safety of others and that you comply with the Countryside code & the Mountain Bike code of conduct at all times. Also, that your personal equipment and bicycle are in good working order and properly maintained and that you are not under the influence of drugs (unprescribed) or alcohol whilst riding with us. 

11. MEDICAL – You must confirm that you are fit to participate in your chosen course or training and that you will informed us of any medical conditions both current and historic that may affect your participation in the Course or training. You must notify us of any specific medical information before the start of the course / training. 

12. CONFIRMATION – By booking, you accept that you have read and understood these terms and conditions.
