      <title>Ladies Core Skills Course</title>

We had great weather too. Both Ladies wanted to concentrate on getting over trail sections, technical climbs and just being more confident on the bike. &lt;br/&gt; &lt;br/&gt;I started off by showing the girls the ‘M’ Check before heading to the Skills Area where we went through the Ready Position, Cone of Movement (moving around the bike), Pumping and Manualing giving Wendy and Jo video feedback along the way. Lunchtime I went through more video analysis and showed them Demo videos in slow motion. &lt;br/&gt;     &lt;br/&gt;After Lunch and coffee we went back to the Skills Area to go through manualing and using manuals to get up steps, next we covered cornering on flat ground. Once the girls had dialled this we headed into the woods to put everything into practise on the trails.&lt;br/&gt;    &lt;br/&gt;At the end of the day we headed back and looked at the videos whilst having tea and cake, whilst Bob kindly cleaned Wendy's and Jo's bikes! Top day with them and they both now have some solid skills to take out and practice on the trails.&lt;br/&gt;Ally</description>

We put together a Private course for them looking at the key skills they wanted to develop and to help them progress their riding. They ride a lot locally here in North Wales Llandegla, Coed y Brenin and some of the more natural trails too.&lt;br/&gt;We started off looking at the 'Core Skills' the essential building blocks for confident, fun riding. </description>

This time we developed his ability to 'push' down drops, a skills many people forget about but one that is actually vital once you start to look at some slightly bigger drops or you want to ride them faster on the trail.</description>

Sunday we where coaching the adults:&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Great event can't wait for next year!&lt;br/&gt;Ally</description>

They are both pretty solid riders who do lots of natural riding as well as trail centre stuff so it was a case of making them more ‘aware’ of what they were actually doing and looking at some new ways of riding some trail features and polishing up some of the skills.</description>

He has also had some coaching before at Oneplanet Adventure at Llandegla so we had a good foundation to work on with him. He is not really looking at getting in to racing just having lots of fun on all the more DH focused sites and parks that are opening up here in Wales like Antur Stinog, Revolution Bike Park and of course our base Onegiantleap in Llangollen, three fantastic venues if you fancy hanging out with a bit of ‘gravity’ and your bike! &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;</description>

We started off with some session in the field to have a look at their skills and also get them used to feeling what they were doing before we looked at the Core Skills essential to good solid and confident riding. We covered moving about the bike, effective braking, pumping and manuals focusing on developing good footwork and looking skills in the first session. </description>

      <title>Corporate weekend at Coed y Brenin</title>

They all came up on the Friday and stayed in log cabins and the people who did not own bikes hired them from Beics Brenin for the weekend.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Saturday we split them into groups depending on ability, group one was with myself doing the Fundamentals, group 2 and 3 were focused on ‘Core Skills’ to more advance riders they went with Bob and Ed.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Sunday they had the choice of either going around the Cyflym Coch Red graded trail 12.6km or MBR Black graded trail 18.4km.</description>

      <title>Halo BDS Llangollen, Running The Shoretrax!</title>

This time the race was down the New Squirrel Track. Denbighshire Council’s Leisure Services wanted to promote cycling to the spectators, locals and inspire the younger riders too.&lt;br/&gt;They got us into run the Shoretrax portable bike track for them as we are the ‘on site’ coaches having our own private coaching skills area there. The Track was opened for the both days with lots of people turning up to see the race and then popping over to the Shoretrax with excited youngster in tow!&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;A couple of BMX’s were provided by Marsh Track in Rhyl and we brought down the Transition Bikes Demo Fleet too. The track went down really well with the spectators getting involved and lots of locals turned up to have a go on their own bikes or borrowing the bikes we supplied after seeing the action on the tracks!&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Ages ranged from 4 year olds to Adults mostly the kids aged 5-6 where showing up everyone future downhillers in the making!       <title>Ladies Gravity Camp 2012</title>

We also got Pro riders Helen Gaskell and Sarah Newman involved to come along and help out with the coaching.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Friday evening there was camping for those travelling from afar and who wanted to start the weekend early and meet everyone.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Saturday was a choice of 1/2 day Skills coaching sessions. In the morning they had the choice of Cornering, Bunny hops, Intro to Drops. After lunch they there were more sessions this time on Bigger drops, Intro to steep ground and Advanced cornering.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Saturday evening we had a BBQ, beers and cake chilling out  and chatting in the event tents. &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Sunday was ‘uplift day’ we all headed up to the Downhill trails on the uplift service provided By Martin the farmer in the back of his ace uplift trailer, (no bikes touch each other so no annoying or expensive scratched or damage!) all pulled by a big green John Deer of course!&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Ally&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Testimonies:</description>
